Carmine grew up on the Lower East
Side of Manhattan with all the members of the group Just Friends. He started
his singing career in 1963 performing doo wop with a group named Star Dancer.
In 1968 he went with a rock group called The Moving Violations touring up and
down the East coast opening and doing shows for acts such as The Rascals, The
Vanilla Fudge, and The Illusions, just to name a few. He stayed with this group
and recorded a song titled Surely on Bridge Records. In 1986, Carmine went back
to his roots and started singing doo wop again putting a group together with
Bobby Fox and named it Just Friends. He’s now been singing with them for over 25
years performing in clubs and concert halls on the East coast.
